Special service week in public hospitals from Mar 17

All public hospitals, health institutes and clinics will observe special service week from March 17 marking the birth day of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

 

The theme of the week is 'Swasthya seba odhikar, Sheikh Hasinar angikar (Health service is a right and Shekh Hasina's pledge).

A preparatory meeting for the week was held at the health ministry on Sunday with Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim in the chair, said an official release.

 

During the week, cleanliness activities would be carried out in hospitals every day and specialised doctors will see patients in the out patients departments.

 

Besides, separates seminars will be held at the national level on community clinic services, autism, child health and nutrition.

Exchange of opinion meetings will be held with local MPs, other public representatives, politicians and journalists at the union, upazila and district level hospitals and clinics, according to a news agency.
